One of the main ways we make money is via affiliate marketing.
Here’s how it works:
- We find and review products and services related to building an online business (e.g. courses, job boards, tools, etc.)
When done right, affiliate marketing is win-win-win:
- You win by purchasing a great product or service to help build your business.
- We win by helping you make a smart decision and earning a commission.
- The company that offers the product or service wins by making a new sale.

That said, we do sometimes affiliate link to products or services we DON’T recommend.
For example, we affiliate link to 12 Minute Affiliate in our review of that course, despite clearly giving it a low rating.
Think of eBiz Facts as a kind of convenience store with lots of goods for sale, and where each item is clearly labeled so you know how it impacts your health.
In this analogy, 12 Minute Affiliate would be like a pack of cigarettes with “SMOKING KILLS” written across the front. If you still want those cigarettes despite the warning, you’re welcome to click on our affiliate link and buy them.
Inevitably, we rarely earn a commission via affiliate links to courses with low ratings. Here’s a prime example…
We were eventually kicked out of that affiliate program, presumably for giving the course such a low rating.
And we’re totally fine with that.

We choose not to interrupt or distract you, our guest, by plastering display ads all over this website.
Our goal is to present you with helpful and carefully vetted information about building an online business. Showing you ads from the highest bidder doesn’t help us achieve that. In fact, it does the opposite.
That’s why you won’t find any display ads here on our website, and why we also say no to occasional frequent paid link offers.
